Membership requirements :

We require outstanding achievements, as judged by recognized experts in the field of tattoo artistry and design, for all candidates requesting membership to the Association of Professional Tattoo Artists. Joining the APTA is also possible at the invitation of the APTA.

•         Required Qualifications:

 

• Candidates must have at least two (2) recommendations from members of the Association of Professional Tattoo Artists.
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of tattoo art.

      

• Must Satisfy at Least Two (2) Additional Qualifications

 

• Professional awards for a candidate’s tattoo artwork.
• Press about a candidate’s tattoo artwork.
• Other relevant evidence that demonstrates the tattoo artist’s prominence in the field.
